To expand its global staff, HelpAge is looking to hire a Healthy Ageing Adviser. The goal of this position is to advance Universal Health Coverage (UHC), with a particular focus on making sure that UHC procedures take older people’s needs into account. In addition to coordinating with partners and stakeholders, the person will spearhead advocacy and policy work and participate in important global health processes like WHO engagements and the World Health Assembly.
The ideal candidate should possess, among other things, an in-depth knowledge of health and care, public health, and global health, ideally with a master’s degree or higher in a related topic, at least 10 years’ experience working on health and care in development and/or humanitarian contexts, demonstrable skills and experience in designing and delivering impactful advocacy strategies to influence decision-makers at national and international levels, including governments, the UN system, donors, and civil society, and experience of working on policy development.
